Pluribus designed a new neighborhood market with select merchandise, services, grocery and prepared food items for the local Hispanic community in the Argentine neighborhood in Kansas City, KS. Additional office space was also created on a mezzanine to support small businesses. The market complies with design guidelines for urban infill and development that helps fill a gap in an existing food desert. The site utilized water detention strategies, including rain water storage for flower gardens and planters. Hispanic artists were engaged for mural artwork that would represent the culture of the neighborhood’s history.
