Elevating Properties Movable Modular Housing Prototype
Anywhere, USA and beyond
THE EVOLUTION OF AN IDEA FOR A CHANGING WORLD
Elevating Properties sees an opportunity to create affordable, long-term solutions to elevate the lives of those under-served in our society while increasing the value of under-utilized properties. Elevating quality affordable housing and undervalued property, in the depth of a parking stall (18 feet), a Class An apartment unit can elevate above on a parking lot corner, increasing NOI by 6-10%. What started at parking lot street corners, Elevating Properties has developed a modular construction solution that can provide flexible housing solutions today for any location to address our changing world’s needs.
A HOME FOR ANY LOCATION
Elevating Properties has designed one- and two-bedroom units with full kitchens, washers and dryers. With Covid-19, it is more difficult for many people to meet living expenses. Units are designed to provide affordable housing, building sustainable communities close to public transportation, job opportunities, a grocery store, pharmacy, library, public parks, a hike and bike trail and schools.
Different configurations include Quadplex, Garden Apartments, Texas Wrap, and High Rise. Amenities can include a social engagement room, community dining room with a warming kitchen, business center and covered parking, play equipment and seating areas.
Temporary and permanent solutions available.
Leverage air-space over parking lots for short or long-term housing, increasing revenue per corner.
Affordable with mass customization and quality control utilizing modular construction methods.
Modules are rapidly available for immediate placement in opportunity zones. Units can be delivered and installed on site, or removed, in as few as two days.
Flexible uses include multi-family, student housing, job-site housing, disaster relief, and more.
Sustainable as movable and reusable utilizing patented technology.
Scalable solutions for phased development.
Working with Elevating+, Steinberg Hart, and the City of Oakland, Pluribus developed housing solutions to help address exponential growth of the homeless population in the bay area. Pluribus developed a prototype housing unit concept that would provide quality living environments, whether temporary or permanent, that can be used above surface parking lots and requiring minimal disruption. Once in full-scale production, the design solution would also be able to provide disaster or refugee housing quickly. With a site selected in the City of Oakland, a model was developed to create group home environments, providing single room occupancy housing for up to 300 homeless individuals.
