Originally constructed in 1907, KSU Greenhouse D Conservatory was relocated to the KSU Gardens location in 1977. The Greenhouse was no longer used due to public safety concerns and poor condition of the infrastructure. The glass shell of the greenhouse was missing numerous panels, and the utility systems could not maintain indoor environmental conditions suitable for growing plants. It was located on a prominent KSU gardens site planned to host a new conservatory in the future.
